Welcome to the Web Ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church!

In 1977, God began a miraculous work in the Bloomingdale community of Kingsport, TN. He burdened the hearts of several people concerning the need for a solid, Bible-preaching, fundamental church to share the Gospel with the world, and to help Christians be all they could be.  From this vision Emmanuel Baptist Church was born.

From modest beginnings in a small block building, the church grew until the need was evident for a larger facility. Ground was broken and a larger building was erected at the current site on Bloomingdale Road.

Again, not much time passed, and the need for an even larger facility was realized. The current facilities stand as an awesome reminder of the grace of God and the power of a God-given vision.

As Emmanuel Baptist Church has moved into the 21^st century, new families have joined along- side original members to continue the work.  Our goal has not changed: we still desire to be a Christ honoring, Independent, Fundamental Missionary Baptist church, located in the Bloomingdale area.

With a vision for souls, the ministries of Emmanuel Baptist Church have their focus in building on the basics of the faith.  Burdened by our convictions and driven by our zeal, we are reaching out through the support of missionary efforts both at home and abroad; not forgetting our Jerusalem (Bloomingdale and the Kingsport area).

Emmanuel Baptist Church is committed to being a Biblical, Great-Commission Church in the 21^st century.  The Church's outreach includes people of all ages.  From the nursery to senior adults, opportunities for learning and ministry abound.  Anyone seeking a place of true worship and service will definitely be at home at Emmanuel.
